Flashing modded xbox360 back to stock
Hi All,
I modded my xbox360 many years ago and do not have any recollection on how I did it. I also upgraded HDD from original 20GB to 120 Gb drive.
I still have two bin files from the original firmware.
The question is - what is the easiest procedure to return it back to original firmware so I can connect to Live, preserving 120GB HDD. Is it even possible?
P.S. let me make my intention clearer.
I just want to update software and go live. Attempting updates always end up with E66 error.
Any solutions are known - I don't have another non-modded drive to swap for updates.

Havent flashed any drives for years but i thought you just ran a newer game that initiated the update, probably will need jungle flasher to return it to stock.
You see error code E66 on your screen and one flashing red light on your Xbox 360 console, The E66 error contains the following error message.
System error. Contact Xbox Customer Support.
Status code: E66
When this issue occurs, the console is no longer able to connect to Xbox Live, download system updates, or play new games that require system updates:
This may mean that the console has been modified or tampered with.
Solutions
You can still play your existing game discs in the console in offline mode. To do this, you have to disable automatic sign-in. Here’s how:
Restart your console.
If you are prompted to install a system update, select No.
Press the Guide button on your controller.
Go to Settings.
Select Profile.
Select Sign-in Preferences.
Set Profile Auto Sign-in to “Off.”
Press the Guide button again to return to the Dashboard.
Your Xbox 360 console can now play your existing game discs offline.
Cheers
