The picture is of Matt Lauer, host of the Today show in the US who was sacked over an incident of sexual inappropriateness (no further information as to what he actually did). He was at the helm for 20 years and I believe was on 20 million a year. Cmangle's glee is likely in regards to the show being a bit of a PC lefty holier than thou operation, who , like in Australia, seem to find a need to tell all us common folk how stupid we are if we don't support gay marriage and the usual list of leftist causes.

I didn't mean to ruffle any of you Oz boys feathers, was just curious if the same kind of "Witch Hunt" is prevailing in Oz as well!
We have a show that is dedicated to witch hunts, it is called: A Current Affair, but there is a lot more going on here elsewhere too.
It has become the next great thing to accuse (ATM mostly rich and famous) of all kind of stuff they did in their past often decades ago and I predict this will get worse because that is what the sheep like to hear about, thus sells well just like reality TV, while the 'victims' see an easy buck in compensation.
When this does NOT have anything to do with child abuse, I have less and less sympathy for the victims as they should have spoken out at the time these incidents happend.
A male grabbing a (+18)female's butt for example was not considered a crime back in the 70's or 80's but now this is unthinkable.
I wonder where we will be in 10 years from now.
"I remember that man, he LOOKED at me 20 years ago", they might even have camera image to prove that : 10 years in the hammer!
... and what do they all do at parties? With so many smart phones around for proof, I see so much more work coming for the lawyers.
