^ I prefer the winged variety Neddie, though if you twisted my arm I'd spend an evening (or two) with Elle !

Oh and thanks for the linkage, more birdie pics to drool over

My favourite birds are free range chickens.....
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

Living rural does give you access to various birds as they migrate past such as flock of Sulpher Crested Cockatoos along with those Black Cockatoos who madly strip rock hard pine cones apart for the miniscule seed.
Galahs call on 'Henry' who if he/she could fly I would have released long ago.
BUT for close entertainment, you cant beat a mob of Free Range Isa Browns or an Ophington Black chook foraging in the grass and watching her side step the twice as big Rooster ( magnificent multi hued Windot) as he tries to have his 'wicked way with her'.
I dont know if he ever managed to 'get his end in' as he seemed to miss 6 out of 10 attempts, much to his annoyance.
That Rooster didnt rule that roost as I have heard him try to call them home or come scratch where he was only see them totally ignore him. (I think thats happened to a few Humans too, ehh?)

Like most despite my age and infirmities, I still get and enjoy viewing birds of other species in and out of all their decorations and hope to do so for many years to come.
