"The TV giant embeds watermarks in its broadcasts which enables it to see who paid for an event, should a copy of one turn up on the Internet."

A different watermark for every subscriber?
If Australia is a democracy why, then, is voting compulsory?

"What has changed between the arrival of the First Fleet and today?"
"Wearing leg irons is now not required."

I'd suggest that the person who "illegally" copied it, was silly enough not to mask his true ID.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

I read an article regarding the US Satellite TV company (DISHTV) was sending out claims for payments for alleged breaches.
In this specific a case, they based their claim for payment because he had bought a satellite dish and decoder.
DISHTV sent the usual letter demanding this payment or suffer the consequences of it going to Court and he being found Guilty.
Well, this fellow said 'SUE ME' and they did BUT the outcome wasnt what they expected.
He was able to prove that while he did indeed buy the Dish and decoder, which was perfectly legal to do so, it was for another person and he never had any use of it not did he ever subscribe to DISHTV nor could it ever be proved he had received a signal from DISHTV.
From memory the DISHTV lost big time and the Judge ruled the Company had NO RIGHT to pursue people or issue demands for monies or make threats of further prosecutions.
It was revealed that DISHTV was paying a 'spotters fee' to anyone selling Satellite equipment for them to pass on the buyers details to them.

While this bloke appears to be in very deep shit, I dont believe the Company concerned has a legal right to demand money for any breaches either.
While the Company has the right to pursue legal proceedings against him, any judgement has to be made in a Court of Law, not by some clerk in an office somewhere.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!
