Amaysim do a $10/month for unlimited talk'n'text and 1Gb of data. That seems pretty reasonable.
Hi everybody,
My wife has held off having a mobile phone for yonks but would like a phone to mainly text - sms friends and family. A friend of ours shares the same provider and I think plan for $20.00 a month for the second phone for the daughter.
I have a plan with Optus which is very reasonable which I just pay for what I use and the sms's are about 10cents each.
Anybody know of any reasonable plans mainly for sms's - texts?
Thanks everybody
David.

Try this lot, Moosemobile.
$8 per month,
200 minutes Standard/National calls.
Unlimited National and International Text.
500 Mb of data.
Optus network.
Before buying anything, check what carriers cover your area and which has the best signal, also if you want to go 'roaming' can you?
I have no idea who covers what in WA but I do know in NSW, Telstra has the largest cover followed by Optus and others like Vodaphone are generally limited to the range of one Tower if they have one there.
I have just gone for the Aldimobile mainly because they use Telstra which is the only carrier that works at my home.

I'm having problems with no.1 daughter going over data limit every month invoking the $10/gig safety net as they call it. I called up yesterday to see if this can be stopped so if she uses her 2gb then that is it for the month. This extra $10/month charge can happen a couple of times a month!! But alas...it can't.
Forgot to mention Optus have like a family account where you all use the same account and all use the pool of data, calls etc! Might be an option.

This $10 per Gb surcharge seems to be across the board as I had that same option available on Telstra Wireless Internet (dont confuse this with the the Mobile Phone plans) and I now have it available on SkyMuster.
As I said before, your location determines WHO you can use as a Carrier along with what ever 'Plans' are available.
