    \SDMMC\DestinatorApps\Australia = QNG360

As you can see no DShell folder unless i am looking in the wrong place lol

    Hi Tagg

The MyFlashDisk folder is built into the unit - it is a fixed flash drive that cannot be removed - and contains the Destinator executable. So what you mentioned is correct. And yes, you were looking in the wrong place .

On the other hand, the removable SD card is denoted by the 'SDMMC' folder. This is where the new iGO8 files will need to be copied.

You will need to follow the steps given in my original post, copying the iGO8 files to the SD card location (SDMMC) after backing up and deleting the existing SD card files if you are using the same SD card.

After that, you only need to change 1 file on the flash disk (Schema.ini) to point to the new iGO8 executable.

    Good luck!

There are 2 different maps depending on the version of 1GO8 you are running. iGO8.0 requires Sensis maps the latest version of which is R15.1. For iGO 8.3 you need the Navteq maps the current version being 2008.Q3.

The iGO8 maps don't require any activation code providing you are using one of the hacked versions of iGO8 with license. If the rar file containing the maps requires a password to unpack the map that will be mentioned somewhere in the post. You can try the link below as a starting point.

    Default hai mk68

    hai fren,
i read your post regarding IGO maps on non-branded gps device. Im using a in-built gps system wt
    Operation system: Windows CE 5.0
SAMSUNG High performance processor S3C2440A-40, frequency 400MHZ.
    >and gps serial data is COM1, Boud rate 9600.

But, the seller provide maps with expired DEMO software. I called them, but unfortunetly, tis is only software they have for my country ( malaysia + singapore).
Now, im looking for a navigation software, then maps. I called many software companies, mostly not selling the software nowdays.Only with the gPS portable device.
But i only need the software. I read your post, in that u mentioned got IGO software in one of these posts. May i know which topic is it? Once i download the software, i will follow as your explanation how to edit the files. Hopefully it will works..

    Thanks

It will b convinient if you can email me regarding this.

    Hey!

I have done this mode for unbranded gps device and I have some problem. When I click navigation, the first page pops up for about a second and then it goes back to the main menu. What did I do wrong?

Here is the picture of the page (for one second):

    [IMG][/IMG]

And when I try to click navigation for the second time, it doesn't show this screen anymore. I have to reset the device and then it happens the same (first click shows this screen for one second, later it doesn't work).

    Can anyone help me?

Hi mke68, I have a Smart Navi NAV-I400B gps with latest Ver. 2007 Q1 5254 map which is now nearly 2 years old, is it possible to put tom tom s/w onto this Destinator GPS using your method? If I could at least I would be able to update more frequently.

    Hi elguapo,

I got QNG350 as well. But When I click the Navigation button, the flash screen for NavNGo comes up, then a fatal error:
'Initialization error: no voice files were found'

Can you help me with your steps to make your gps unit work?

    Hi berniez,

I think you need to hard reset your gps unit to make it work.
    Hope this helps.

    Cheers

    Hi Guys,

I am also having difficulty getting this to work on a QNG360. As there is no schemna.ini file, I can't figure out how to 'point' to iGO8.exe

Can anyone help me with where the ini file can be found and edited?

    Thanks

    Default revived my Prima GPS

Many thanks for this information. I successfully brought new life to my first GPS .. a Prima GP-51P preloaded with Destinator PN demo version on SD card. I installed Destinator 8 on card, and renamed Destinator.exe to iNav3D (my Prima boot program is "DestinatorApps/Destinator/iNav3D". I installed 2009 versions of Destinator maps (found on GPSunderground.com , no cracking needed) and I now have another gps to go along with my Garmin 250W.

Thanks again mke68 for resurrecting my Prima which was destined for the recyling bin!

I hate to dust off an old topic..... but I've got a problem.

I got iGo to work on my satnav in my car (built in), but I'm not getting a GPS signal.

I fired it up. Let is set for about 20 minutes, but nothing.

Does anyone have any tips or trics to get a GPS signal?

    It would be greatly apreciated.
