Why are you using a phoenix for an NDS card?
And you can't share from the serial port.

So pop ya NDS card in the slot, set up ya configs and ip address's and you're done.

    Anything else

Hint: This question has been asked many times on this forum, so a quick search will find you all the info and details you need

Mmmmm you're not the brother of a couple of members here are you by chance?

You seem to be making it lot harder than it need be!?!
But i know that frustrated feeling

I use CuteFTP for my FTPing and config editing. It is very simple, give it a try.
How are you connecting to you boxes from the PC?
Why are you trying to connect them with a twisted pair, just use your router/modem and 4port switch or something. Then use normal patch leads.

Try starting with CuteFTP, sounds like that might be half your problem

To make one box the server and the other the client, there are lines you need to add to Ccam.cfg. So it knows what to do.
Those config lines have been posted here plenty of times. So take a look.

    Trying taking it in steps.

    1. Get your NDS card working in the internal slot
    2. Set up both boxes on the network
    3. Edit the Ccam.cfg file in each box (server with NDS card, client with C: line) or whatever cam you want to use.

If you do it in steps... at least you have less things to guess which might be wrong

    Good Luck

Mmmmmm if you have no PC, how did you just post your last response?
    Or use filezilla or notepad++???

Do you have internet on your phone? And a phone that runs those apps?

What are your Networking skills like?

    You problem could be anywhere??
Wrong networking details, wrong networking hardware, wrong set ups in Ccam, etc etc.

How did you get your cams on the DM500s in the first place if you don't have a PC and your DM500s aren't on the lan with your router/modem?

Seems you might need to have a little think about all of this

Well, by the sounds, you are going to run a Cat5 cable anyway.... you may as well do the job properly don't you think
Or at least get a couple of wireless AP's for them.

Anyway.... it has been spelt out nice and simple here. Follow the steps and do a little reading and it will all happen with ease

As for joining 2 x DM500s with a standalone twisted pair crossover Cat5 cable, i have never done it. But have done many PC's that way in the old days when switchs and hubs cost a fortune. So i can't see why it wouldn't work

its not that hard. one line the F: line on the server machine in CCcam.cfg and one line the C: line on the client machine.

Make sure each machine has a seperate IP address but in the same range.

stick your fox card in the server machine and up it comes!

    Just for you to check...........
There were posts about the MAC address being the same on clone DMs, which could be an issue if on the same network.
