    Default Benq Monitor fp71g

The lost forum had a great thread about these monitors
and the replacement transistor. Does any one of hand remember
the equivalent of those transistors or the part number

    cheers

It uses a 2SC5707 transistor for the inverter
    Its specs are 80V, 8A, 15W
Has anyone used a substitute that they could suggest
I can get them from WES for cheap
    just curious thats all
    cheers

Your best to get the actual transistor from WES. The replacements I found just didn't cut it.
What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

people are still fixing 17" monitors?

anyway that is an excellent kit, it will fix most of the benq and dell of certain models.

benq boards in mitsubishi, some dell and a variety of other brands based on that model may not just be those components.

I changed the 5707’s on my BenQ 767-12 but the originals checked out ok and no change. I then jumped the fuse PF751 (looks like a diode) with an automotive blade fuse and resoldered the transformers and hot section and voila!

Trannies from Farnell. Ordered them at 4pm and they were here at 0730 next morning

Just found a Dell 172FPb in garbage room, with flashing power LED and black screen.

Tried re soldering main transformer = no joy

Tested 2SC5707 transistors, found one shorted, replaced = steady power LED and image visible in strong light but no back light

Resoldered all transformers = much joy

I think the forums are correct in that the transformers appear to fail, but what is actually happening is guys are replacing them unnecessarily. If they just resolder the old transformers that should do the trick.
