When I did mine, I don't remember seeing the ACHI. All I did was use a USB floppy drive. Made a floppy disk using Acers drivers (you execute the file and it sets the floppy up) and when you install XP, through the install process it says to press F6 for other drivers, you point it to the floppy drive and away it goes.
I have got just about everything going great now except for the Audio. Have donloaded the driver and installed, but media player saying that there is a problem with sound device. Downloading klite codec pack now, but I dont think that is the problem. Any ideas?

Anyone? I Really dont want to have to re install XP again. Could it be the order that I installed drivers?

big it was no hassle i am always willing to help if ppl show they are trying to help themselves.none of us know everything and without others we learn nothing else.As for the couple $$ it cost was worth it to see someone happy and learn something
