In your good dream measure all the rails of the power supply to main board
and do the same in the bad 7020 and if one of the rails is missing or has a considerable drop then you trace it along till you find the shorted component
i have a 7020 that was fine yesterday morning, and dead last night, without doing a thing to it
ive replaces the power supply with another one that i know is good but its still the same
ive disconnected all the HDD etc and nothing, not even a reply when trying to use dreamup
when the power is disconnected, after about 20 seconds the orange display will flash twice, as if the last charge in the power supply fails, this is on both supplies that ive checked and both are fine
so, this tells me something on the main board has packed in
would anyone know where i begin?
cheers for looking

When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
unsolder the tuner module....or the LNBp21 controller chip.(huge job)
did you have your LNB cable earthed?
buy a mutant lol
the lnb is a quad connected to the 7020, and 800 and a 600, the 800 is connected to an anti surge circuit for the power and the LNB, this then also earths the other 3 receivers connected as well
the mains coming into the property is PME so any earth fault on the mains would have also affected the neutral, and blown all 3 boxes
ill try vest4less suggestion over the weekend as i know the 2 power supplies are both ok
thanks for the help guys
