Default DM100 what a great little box this is

I just got a DM100 to play with and I am quite impressed. It is about 1/2 the thickness of a DM800 and the same body size (small).

If you upgrade them they have newcamd, CCcam, Scam and Regast clients onboard in the firmware complete with ethernet but slow 1/2 duplex by the looks of it.

Works out of the box with the irdeto cards I through at it, from 12v4 - i2_zeta and everything in between. Did not like my NDS card thought, but that is just a set up issue on my end.

Good pictures on the tele, but only scart and svideo out (no a/v).

The editing tools are OK, but the satellite editor sucks, so it is back to long hand set up the first time as only a handful of C band satellites for us here in the region.

Does it run HOT, is it a DM box? You could cook eggs on the thing, but not as bad as the DM800 thank god.

Do I like it - for the price yes..
    No gadgets just the business.

Your DM guys should have them down there by now, but no idea of the OZ price sorry.

NIce little review. They've been out for a while but I was trying to work out why to buy one. I figured if I wanted a fully customised box then a DM500 still does the trick and if I want just a good sat box then something like a Strong would do. The DM100 is sitting on the fence in the middle somewhere!

It is the DM version of the strong. This is the one I would throw in the bag for the weekender not the 500 or the Strong, as I know when I get to where I am going, it is going to work and at the size of a packet of flat biscuits not take up much room on the way.

If your are referring to the beta tests, no, still not 8000 and little point for the price and only one FTA HD channel to watch.

As others mention on here, there are other boxes with better options at 1/2 the price.

    But who was black listed?

Did I mention it works with a whitey in the card slot? No set up required, just plug it in and it works.

Now thats a nice selling point i might add, pity our whitey don't work any more, or are you hinting that they will work if you use this box ?? hmm hmm thats one way of increasing sales.
