just any old router for me...
I actually prefer the Telstra speedtouch pro.
It never drops out like the billion or dlink rubbish.
I'm looking at getting a new router that has viop capabilities. I run a DM500s off it. What are people using??????

Have to agree with z80 I just spent $250 odd on a Billon and man does that thing drop reboot spit and it's just plain "NASTY" and not to say the 3 firmware upgrades in the last 2 months LOL
I found the Linksys WRT54GP2 way more reliable and way more cheaper

I've been using a Billion 7401VGPM for the last year, I have no drop out issues, and VOIP works perfectly. Not the easiest modem to set up, but there's plenty of help available on Whirlpool and the Billion forums.
The 7401VGPM only allows you to add one VOIP provider, if you plan on using multiple providers, you'll need the 7404VGPM.
Dave001 I have the 7401VGPX for the only reason it takes the 3G usb internet key
But man i tell you it's a bloody lemon compared to the Linksys

best4less,
I can't comment on that model mate, as I have never used it, but I have set up several 7401VGPM's for friends and family, and they all work perfectly. There where some early firmware issues with garbled VOIP calls, but they all seem to be fixed now.
As I said earlier, they are a not an easy modem to set up though, if you want something to plug in and forget, then I'd look elsewhere.

I've been using Dlinks for me and friends and they seem fine with no dropouts etc. Easy to setup and good product support.
