    Default Networx NX-4

    Hi Everyone,

My house has just been completed and they have installed a Networx NX-4.

My question is whether the remote access FOBs will work with this system
I mean the ones with the four buttons to quickly disarm and arm
Reason being is there is a sensor in the garage so dont want the alarm going of before we have a chance to get to the keypad.

Some places have said no it wont, others have said it will work
Also it would be great if someone could provide me with a supplier that sells the FOBs and the receiver. Alot only sell the fobs which doesnt help me much

Yes they will work and any reputable security company should be able to sell and install them for you.

I have a feeling that you can't get a Fob that will work the the NX-4
however if you have a spare zone then you can easily make a third party fob/receiver work as long as it has an output. Just wire it in with the resistor.

You just have to set up that zone to arm/disarm the zone.

Wire red to aux+ black to common and green to data in the main panel. Make sure the receiver is mounted outside of the panel otherwise you will get poor range. The remotes will come with instructions that will tell you how to do it the additional buttons can also be hooked up to operate the roller door(s).

The new remotes look very rugged compared to the old ones and in reading the instructions the other day noticed that in the specs they have a 200m range compared to 50m of the old ones(if your lucky).

The Receiver goes into the main control panel, as per the PM i sent you, if you dont have the installer code, then you cant programme them in, will either need to get this code, or default the panel.

If you dont have the install code, call the company that installed it to start with

Those fob's look exactly the same as the new Bosch RE005V2 and WE800V2 fobs.

I wonder if they are getting them from the same place?

Dont 4get u have to enter programme mode then exit
This makes the panel search the keypad bus for any new modules..

Probably, i prefer the ITI Remotes, better range, better quality.
    Of course, at a cost.

not always there was a bunch that you had to do that with but the last few I haven't had to do it.

There are other ways. With the Nx you can have 2 different entry/ exit delay times so what i do is to program internal entry zones with say a 20-30 second delay & the garage detector can have a 60-90 sec delay.

Also if you install keyfobs you can program a siren chirp for arming & disarming, just conformation you have actually armed it correctly from outside. Your choice if this suits you or not.
