Unhappy How to get Kogan Blu-Ray player being Region-Free ??

I am the almost-regular Austech forum writer here, mostly especially on satellite communication.
Okay, today this afternoon I received a newest Kogan Blu-Ray player with Region-Free coding, by courier. But once after when I plugged it in and played back the Region A Blu-Ray disc from USA but it won't play and that player does playing Reg. B disc only. What's the heck ????
Well, have you got any way to have it become Region-Free with A, B and C without hassle ? Even Kogan website, dispute it says that the Kogan player DOES playing Blu-Ray Region-Free of A, B and C as it is advertised, but it doesn't and has never shown the instruction how to access the code system. Seemingly very strange. Your solution is awaiting to feed it in next from this damn message. TA.

Switching the Kogan to region A is relatively simple open the drive, tap 1,2 on remote and it's done, with the same process but using 3,4 to switch to region B.

    Hope this helps

    Default kogan blu ray

To convert the player to region free blu ray, open the draw, type in 9113 then in the BD box that will appear on screen, select area 1, close draw and play

Cool they all should be region free the lot of blueray players

hi guys, i think this is the trouble with the blueray players there not region free like hd dvd. i have both hd dvd and blueray dvd!!i looked at a blueray recorder i think it was a lg brand or panasonic the price tag was $1800 to $2000aus but the blueray side wasnt region free, but the normal dvd was they also have to have a hd tv dvd t tuner inbuilt for that price with alot of them you can get them chipped.. i notice on ebay for a region blueray player some are $1000 plus but the only difference between hd and blueray dvd is the dvd quality is better ,thx hamguy2

HD DVD is a obsolete technology. No one is releasing any content on this format any longer, so the hd-dvd player that you have is useful for only playing those disks that are in your private collection now.

Blu ray players are being manufactured under licence agreements. As part of the agreement, the manufacturer must lock their player to a specific region. Due to the experience of DVD region locks where there are numerous remote hacks to unlock players posted all over the internet. This region lock requirement for blu ray is more strict now, the manufacture must implement the region lock in the firmware. For this reason it is much harder to hack these blu ray region codes, so mod chips must be installed to overide the firmware. There are a few players around with remote code to change the region, but you will never see it documented in the manual, because if it did, the manufacture will have violated the licence agreement and their licence to manufacture the unit will be revoked. Their next shipment of players will have region locked correctly implemented or they will not ship any more player.

    Default Leighdr is correct

Leighdr is correct, eject the disc so the tray is out then push 9113 and the display will explain the rest. First space is for blu ray and second for DVD
