Haven't come across this problem with Firefox. I know some toolbars can do that with IE, but not Firefox only. Have you got any 'craplets' or toolbars that have found their way onto Firefox or IE like Google toolbar?
Hi all.
ive come across a slight problem with firefox. ive got Vista Premium edition and for a web browser i use firefox 2.0.0.12. sometimes, when i try and go to a website, the greed status bar shows with no green progression. It sits there for ages and on the bottom left hand corner of the screen, it says "Stopped".
If i try and do the same with IE 7 it loads fine. When it stops, i usually have to close down firefox and start it up again.
I noticed this morning in task manager that there are 2 firefox.exe so i close one of them down. Not sure if this fixed the problem with not loading the web page.
Does anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks

I have the same problem with Firefox and it seems to be after I loaded up the latest downloads to update xp. Maybe just a coincidence though. Its beginning to annoy me.
Thanks for your reply. I dont have any toolbars. i found that when i opened up task manager, there were 2 firefox.exe running. i closed one of them down and then it seemed to be o.k.
My next question is, why does it load 2 firefox.exe???
Thanks

Are you running any other programs such as UTorrent?
This is a big problem on my computer and I have to reboot
for it to fix itself.
I have this problem with Firefox on XP from time to time.
It shows a blank page and simply says "Stopped" in the bottom bar.
I have no idea what causes it.
