Problems Streaming from DM500
I'm new to Dreambox and miraculously managed to set up the comms between PC and Dreambox but am stuck on how to stream to the PC disk. I created a directory on the PC and shared with no restrictions - it's called "Dreambox" with a subdirectory called "movies". I can see this directory from Dreambox (it appears as var/mnt/hdd/movies) and can play mpg files that I place in this directory.
However, if I try to grab from the Dreambox (yellow key on remote and then start ngrab) it does nothing. If I try to record using the Web i/f I get an error on the Dreambox OSD "Record failed due to inaccessible storage".
I'm running Windows XP on the PC and have disabled Windows firewall.
I set up the mount as follows on the Web i/f (sorry - not sure how to insert screenshot...):
Filesystem CIFS
Automount
Client Directory /var/mnt/hdd
Server Directory Dreambox
IP set to IP of PC with Username Administrator (I don't have any users or passwords set)
Options set to "nolocksize=8192, wsize=8192" (I tried 4096 with same result)
I've seen the above set as "extra options" in some forums but "extra options" doesn't appear in my disk mount config
In the tick boxes on the right I've selected "rw", "nolock", "intr", "soft", "udp"
I hope somebody can help.....

Download WinGrab_0.82a for PC ,
Select Grab in to a program stream file, Next..
Write your DM ip no in this line Next,
Make sure your file ext is m2p.. Next,
Untick the box to record as much as you want Next,
Conformation window , Next,
You can also send your file to external drive..
Good luck

Thank you cobra679 and MR-MIXER. In the end my problem was very simple - I renamed the directory for capture from "movies" to "movie" and it worked. Now I can set up timers in the Web interface and grab .TS files - just need to convert them now. Thanks for the responses.
