Default New Wi-Fi Router - No Network

    Gday all,
Tearing what's left of my hair out here.

DM500S connected to a WR642G wireless router has been working great for ages. It connects to a Linksys wireless router and adsl modem. No Problems.

I have just replaced the Linksys wireless router with a WR642G and cannot get internet access.

I can login to the DM500S web interface and the wireless router connected to it - but the DM still doesn't get net access.
The DM's router connects via direct MAC address. (As did the old config)

My PC's and lappy can connect to the internet okay through the WR642G gateway - it's just that the DM500S won't.

What am I missing ? Any suggestions appreciated.

    vb

It sounds like either the nameserver or the gateway settings are not right in the dreambox. Try manually adding both.

Thanks Neutral but DB settings are fine. When I swap the wireless router connected to the modem everything works fine...
    Linksys - ok
WR62G - not ok (This is the one I want to use)

Is the DM set to dhcp in the network settings?
Why not try turning the notebook wireless adapter off & then connecting your notebook to the cable that the DM connects to & see if the notebook still connects to the net.

Upgrade the fw on the linksys, I have had a few problems with these lately and this seems to fix them

I have fixed the problem for those of you who may buy one of the TP-Link WR642G wireless routers.

With the Linksys as the gateway - everything worked with nothing special required in the config.
With the 642G as the gateway, I had to enter the MAC addresses of all the wireless clients connecting to it. (Bridge point to point) Before, they were only required in the clients.

    Hope this helps someone.
