make your file in notepad & save it as ppua (without the extension)

you do need to save the file without an Extension....

I did it a few years ago, but forget now .....

I remember I just googled how to do it... back then

    cheers

I dunno if you can log on an e2 box, but that would probably be the only way.

You're better off asking a logger for the EMK if your box goes dead. I'm just not sure.

There is an old hand on this forum that posts a database of every IR1 rollout.

    Decembers roll is still valid,

There are some HSN's in the dbase with 32 bytes for the EMK instead of 16 those who understand the Irdeto 1 system will know the first 16 bytes are the EMK, the second 16 bytes are even more useful, especially to those without a full set of details.

They should be seperate, but as I save the dbase as a text file it joins them together.

Just put the details in the file irdeto... using the same format as suggested here for scam... gbox will update. However, gbox is not as good as other cams in decoding multiple streams.

So I use scam until the PMK rolls, then swap to gbox; then edit the new PMK discovered by gbox back into the scam/irdeto header line.

    Exclamation Irdeto File on C1 & D2

    Hi Everyone.

I have Tried the irdeto file without the extension, with gbox & Scam. Been Trying for over 2 Days now?? Is there another approach I can use and take??

Maybe someone Kindly could PM a file or more info?? Be Appreciated.

    I've used this Method
    H: { 12 34 56 { 12 34 56 78 90 12 34 56 78 90 } } this is HSN and HMK
    M: { 12 34 56 { 12 34 56 78 90 12 34 56 } } this is Prid10 and PMK10

I did get it to work with my Dm600pvr using SCAM, but since reflashed my box, and not going now. Also Tried the irdeto file in my Dm500 and also not working.

Can Someone please tell me What SOFTCAM I Only need to install?? And Also please tell me what is Actually is used in the SOFTCAM Menu?? Deafult, Default Softcam... etc etc....

Also Do the BTV Channels on Optus D2 work as the same as the BTV Channels off Optus C1/D3??

    Many Thanks

This subject seems to come around like a revolving door.

If you have an enigma1 box....

    --------------------------------------------------------

Install newcamd 6.10b and create a file called ppua and put it into /var/scce. Newcamd then creates some other files, one of which holds the plain keys. If there is an EMK update it should handle that too (so no going back to a logger for new EMK).

Create the 'ppua' file (no extension) using notepad or similar and copy in the following:

0602:000000:00:0001XXXXXX:aa aa aa aa aa aa aa aa
0602:000000:00:00c3YYYYYY:bb bb bb bb bb bb bb bb bb bb

    Just 2 lines is all.

XXXXXX is the provid aa's are the PMK
YYYYYY is the HSN and the bb's are the HMK

Should all be OK after that.

    -----------------------------------------------------

    Cheers

    Ok Thanks,

Just a quick question if I may please?? Do I have to replace the aa aa aa & bb bb bb as well with numbers or leave them as they are??

    Thanks.

yes it is a E1 box however it is the most powerful E1 box and as a result there are numerous experimental E2 images for the DM600 and a few hybrid E1/E2 images too.

newcamd and ppua work fine in a DM600pvr with enigma 1 image

Newcamd is not available for Enigma2 so I think ppua is no go there
However CCcam 2.0.0 with autoroll does work.. and if you have a good ppua you can make an autoroll.key file - until the keys roll .. then you just have to get the ppua up long enough on enigma1 to generate a new key

gbox for Enigma2 & the "irdeto" key file - everything autoupdates, even the PMK's when they get rolled.

    A few questions:

Im using vix 2.1 image on a vu+ duo, once i download gbox v2.25

how do you create the irdeto file with notepad? and doest it need to have an extension on the end or is it just irdeto

Once i add valid details into the created irdeto file in which folder do you place this in on the vu+ duo, and do you need any other files.

Yeah, I also use gbox 2.25 to get the updates. Then I usually swap back to scam (v3.60 or others work fine) because it happily reads the same irdeto file that gbox has updated. So all I need to do is stop gbox and start scam.

Why do I bother to stop one and start the other? Well, gbox is a bit clunky when wanting to record more than one service... you have to run two instances of gbox and I've not been able to record more than two services! With scam I can happily record/view up to six SD programs on the twin tuner Vu+Duo.

So occasionally I get caught out if they roll the keys and scam is the emu but it is worth it to be able to record multiple services...

The 'irdeto' file has no extension in the name. It must be created/edited by an editor which doesn't add line feeds to the end of each line (ie notepad is a problem). I use the editor within DCC-E2 or sometimes I've used UltraEdit. With DCC-E2 you create the file directly on the E2 box and can also conveniently check that the file attributes are set to 755. It goes into the /usr/keys directory. In the same directory you also need gbox_cfg and camd_cfg (for gbox and scam respectively).
