    Default DM500s and Logitech controller

Have a Logitech controller to set up approx 5 appliances, when i fire up the satellite it is ok until i touch a wrong button and I loose the image
I have to go back into Satellites with the green button where i have 4 options
    156.0E Optus C1 - New found (20)
    156.0E Optus C1 - Provider
    156.0E Optus C1 - services (202)
    Current Transponders
It reverts from services to new found (which i would think would be default)
My question is how do i scan a full complement for New Found to prevent myself from losing pictures all the time
    Thanking you in anticipationhttp://www.austech.info/images/smilies/stupido2.gif

Everytime you scan AND the search finds a new channel, it becomes 'New Found'.

If you scanned again. Then it wouldn't find anymore and under 'New Found' would be zero.

Because your losing a Picture is simply you are changing your bouquet to the "New Found" (which is actually a Bouquet) and the LAST CHANNEL selected there was probably an encrypted one which you have no picture or sound. If you were to select a channel you can view (TVSN, EXPO,HELP) and then rebooted your DM. Then that channel would more than likely be the one that comes up when you hit the wrong button.

The trick is..........Not To Hit The WRONG BUTTON!

Might be time to get a second logitech 525,the dm500s silver remote is not a great remote and seems overloaded, especially using record and replay functions.

never had any trouble with any logitech remotes and dreams
however i had a humax that played up really badly when programmed and it was just a matter of slowing down the pulse rate on the remote its one of the settings and then it was fine

i have a 525, which works OK with my DM500, and almost perfectly with my 7020.

The 500 seems a little sensitive, I find I get much better response from the original remote.
