    Default EPG - Time settings

Having troubles here with a DM500s PLI enig 1.
Settings from 'Transponder' (Out by 10 hrs) allows EXACT EPG info but not correct time. When I set 10hrs diff, it makes no difference in the EPG. For instance now it's 11am in Qld the EPG says 1am. The programs are correct though, but the time is 10hrs out. Now if I set the time to read from the DM500S then, yes the correct time is displayed but the programs that are set for 10hrs ahead are shown as current. EG: set box time, epg will show current progam of 11am 'Transponder time' which is 9pm tonight.

Tried every which way I can and no joy. Is it a bug with the firmware, or have I missed the plot. (I'm thinking the later)
    Cheers, Saintaholic

I'm having a similar problem, I have been away (for the best part of 6 months) and have left the dream off (at the wall).

The difference with mine is now when I press the "red" button to get the EPG (using a dm500 and nfnovice's script) I get an error message saying that the transpoder time is not right and so therefor can not display the external EPG data. I have checked the time settings on the DM and they appear to be correct and synced . ie.. my time is xyz transponder time is xyz

I have changed the setting to use "system time", I have also tried to adjust the system time to what the transponder time is showing.

    so far nothing ...

I am hoping that I do not have to do a re-flash as well I'd rather not but does anyone know how to fix this problem as again all i am left with is now/next for an EPG. (for the record, it was working back in early feb without any issues)

Saint, try this.....download the attached file, extract out the relevant file eg “Sydney” and rename it to "localtime".

Ftp the new “localtime” to - /var/etc (this is where the localtime with incorrect DST start and stop times is at.)

Reboot the Dreambox. Hope this helps.

I'm having the same problem now but I remember that it was also a problem when DST started. It did correct itself once the old DST start date had passed.

    Thanks CoopsOz for the fix.

No worries mate, although it is just something I stumbled on and saved for the future. I don't know who originally generated it.
