    Default DM500C channels after scanning

    Guys

I have scanned my box and i got sort of 20 channels but mostly not the one I am subscribed for in Foxtel (I get Pay per view channels and adult channels mainly) plus Hits and CNBC

the channels above including the subscribed ones are not shown (no picture and no sound) however I get picture on TVSN and some channels first time I see (DLA 1 , 2 ,3 , 4 ) and foxtel help ...those with pictures

can someone tell me whats wrong and why when I do manual scan with

    00618 (inv)
    64 Q auto
    6950

i dont get all channels, any suggestion or hints

    I appreciate it

    Thanks

You could try the c-tuner blindscan util to find all transponders, linked here:

    Instructions here:

Image doesn't matter, it should work on any dm500c.

Also check the enigma services file manually to see the complete list of what it has actually found, it will only display services with type 1 (standard tv) in the gui, so HD/mpeg4 and anything else unrecognized will be hidden.
This file is typically here: /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/services (plain text).

You can also check the NIT data in the transport stream to find the list of transponders that the cable provider has included (but it isn't necessarily complete or correct). IIRC you can do something like:
    dvbsnoop -n 100 0x10 > /tmp/nit.txt
... to filter out 100 network info packages (they're unlikely to have more than that, 0x10 is the NIT pid). You'll need a dvbsnoop binary compiled for dm500/600, if the image doesn't already have one installed.

The output should contain entries like these for each transponder:

    DVB-DescriptorTag: 68 (0x44) [= cable_delivery_system_descriptor]
    descriptor_length: 11 (0x0b)
    Frequency: 122028032 (= 746.0000 MHz)
    FEC_outer: 2 (0x02) [= RS(204/188)]
    reserved_1: 4095 (0xfff)
    Modulation (Cable): 5 (0x05) [= 256 QAM]
    Symbol_rate: 427856 (= 6.8750)
    FEC_inner: 15 (0x0f) [= No conv. coding]
