is it using an LG panel, if so what model?
Can anyone help before I scrap this? The story goes:
- I was given it...broken.
- It will not power up correctly. Turn on the power switch, the green light comes on but after two seconds the fan cuts and maybe 30 seconds later it fallsback to standby (orange). Press the menu button and it changes to green but just a relay click, no fan and no main power.
- I checked out the PSU voltages against the service sheet and they all seem to be good for the 2 seconds.
- I got another almost FOC display for spares (shattered panel) and swapped out all boards but still the same!
- I ran panelinf (Hitachi diagnostics via rs232) and it reports 46 (Vey power startup fault) and 6D (Vpx and Vpy voltage is excessive) which appear to orginate from the Y-SUS board but no time stamp so not sure if this is the current fault.
I was 'told' the shattered display had been working so it looks like the panel module is faulty but the service sheet says it's the LOGIC or Y-SUS boards.
Anyone know how to diagnose these properly? If the panel module is OK then I'll keep trying...Peter

When I explained to the guy what avatar I wanted, that wasn't what I meant!
Thanks for coming back to me.
The panel is a Fujitisu/Hitachi FPF42C128128UB-75.
The X-SUS & Y-SUS are NA18106-5008/9.
I have some technical skills but this is the first time I've looked at a plasma...Peter
