Guys,
You may have already seen this - but interesting little tag on the bottom of the wikepedia entry re the NDS encryption system.
- Wonder how long it will take to see them do the same here ?
"Sky Digital 2009 Card Replacements
As of late March 2009, BSkyB have begun issuing replacement NDS SmartCards. These new cards are believed to close off the current Softcam loophole. The new cards will only be usable within an official BSkyB NDS receiver and will no longer work in the current Dreambox or other Linux based softcam's"

Look Here -> |
They may re - issue a 45 series card proberly not the 17 series they ( to conclusion ) do not work in dreamboxes
But it may not take long for that to be hacked ( unless they use sky nz 17001B ) cards
Although with enough brain power anything can be hacked and with this release of cards what do they have as the next step up to security from what I have read / understand NDS-Videoguard are several steps ahead of security than we use now
NDS-Videoguard = most secure system yet according to a poll on sat-television.com
why are they issuing cards so you cant use a un-offical STB you still pay to watch there packages ( apart from card sharing ) it almost seems having sky is like siging your rights to watching tv to a Communist entity
