Default PLi Jade 2 and VLC 0.9.8a

Does Movieplayer work with this combination?

The reason I ask is I get a "streaming error" on the dreambox whenever I try to play any file. VLC is setup as per the PLi wiki instructions, and the PC shares can all be seen.

My concern is that the ports used have changed somewhere when updating either PLi or VLC. From Webif, the dreambox is set to use port 9090 for streaming by default. But where is this port set in VLC?

open the ip address of your PC on port 8080 and see if VLC is indeed running i.e. and if you see a VLC web interface it is working as it should. If not you might have something else running on port 8080

OK. Thanks. Was getting a "403 Forbidden (/)" when doing that. Updated to VLC v0.9.9 and it now streams, so not sure what was the problem. Suspect that I may have had an extra space in the " --intf wxwin --extraintf=http" line.
