    Default Motorola GM339 Programming

I need some advise about where I can get my Motorola GM339 programmed. I live in Toowoomba and the Motorola agents here donít have the software and told me to go to Bearcom in Brisbane.

Bearcom have told me that that wonít program the radio with QPS channels. They are aware that it is not illegal to program these frequencies, but it is against there policy to do so. I tried to buy the software off Bearcom and thought I would do the programming myself, however Bearcom also wonít sell me the software.

I donít where else I can go.

Any advise on where I can go to have this work done would be appreciated.

I think I may have a copy of the software and a programmer somewhere for this model... I think it was these models that I programmed about 5 years ago, but I'll see if I can find the gear (4 house moves later) and if I do I'll let you know.

I'm happy to do it free of charge if I can find it - you just pay for postage to NQ. But I'll PM if I do find

    Cheers

    Hi All,

Have been able to program the GM328, but when it comes to the GM339, no luck.

    Ok, this what I have done, using R03.04.02 Buit 26 Sept 2005, PMVN4039J, PMVN4040J.

Looked in the archive folder, and was able to see plugcode made there *.cpg1,

When I Read Device on Coms 1, I get an error messages:

“Codeplug Version not supported by this CPS”, “Unable to create layout for modellndex-1, versionIndex -1, cpStdVersion 03.00”

Can someone assist me on what I need to do.

Heard that I may need R06.12.04 AZ, but not sure of that.

    Regards

    Robert

    Hi

If your radio is using 5tone selective calls use PMVN4039 CPS , if not, use PMVN4034.

R03.11.15_AS is the typical software for all those mine radios. I've programmed hundreds.

Send us a PM and I''l do what I can to help you out mate.

    Cheers.

This is the one we use for GP/GM339 mine radios at BMA, BMC, Rio and Downer EDI sites.

There's a chance yours was once programmed by us

    Cheers.

It is the AS version, not AZ...
but having said that it is definitely the software for the GM/GP 339's. I've programmed hundreds of them at work with this software.
