    been there done that

    For example only

    you downloaded this file

    h**p: / / rapidshare. com /files/237912288/Night.At.The.Museum-Battle.of.The.Smithsonian-TS-shaanig.part1.rar

    but bugger its password locked

I normally get the file name and Google it like this

    Night.At.The.Museum-Battle.of.The.Smithsonian-TS-shaanig.part1.rar password

and sure enough the password is there in the 6th hit down the page

    hope that makes sense mate

If they are real (not lame ass fakes) you can usually find passwords for them via google. Just google the exact release name +password, or something to that extent. Heck, i think there were forums or a search system dedicated to passwords.

You sure the kids deleted it? I find they seem to move files around instead.
Try search your comp for the name of the file, if not found do as Best4less suggested and use Get Data Back for NTFS, works a treat.

I find the password is in the archive itself quite often, either as a comment or in a txt file within the archive, just view the contents of the archive and you might get lucky.

    Hope this helps
