I spoke too soon, I tried out my "new" TomTom on my Destinator Smart Navi today but still get "Not enough memory is available" after map loads.

If the map or anything else is corrupt some how, maybe someone would be kind enough to upload their full working SD card for this TomTom version running WinCE4.2.

I've done some "research" in other forums and there are usually three reasons why this error occures (even when using the UPX version):
    1. the map being used used is not compatible - e.g. for Australia the 830.2352 won't work.
    2. there is no planned route stored in the device
    3. instead of the file "TT7Navigator.EXE" the file "mobilenavigator.exe" or "TomTom Navigator.exe" is used to start Tomtom.

If none of the above is true for your case then the only other possibility is that for some reason your device is not compatible.

    1. I am using Australia830.2290 map as per your download link so should be ok.

    2. I'm not sure now if I put a planned route in or just an address as there is an address in MapSetting.cfg. It looks like it contains addresses not planned route I think. I can't put planned route in now anyway as it stops with memory message.

    3. Step 14 says always run TT7Navigator.exe to start, but that does not work ie nothing happens. But if I point to TomTom Navigator.exe it starts.
    Maybe that is the problem?

Hmm ,you should start the "TTN7BOT.EXE" again and put an planned route in there.
I know from my experiments that Tomtom always carashed or gave me the out of memory warning when trying without a planned route.
Maybe you should start again ,but this time stay with the 7.45 and try if you still get the error.
I could upload my backup but it was for a Navman ICN520 ,so I'm not sure if it will work without a problem as I've done some minor modifications and added some programs.

Ok will start again. This time I will make sure I have a planned route.

Started all over again. After second run of TTN7BOT.EXE I get Dutch language. Tried to prepare a route but nowhere does it say fast route so just OK and out.
Wouldn't run using TT7Navigator.exe so tried TomTom Navigator.exe and get Select language, selected English then next. Asked if Right Handed etc then next. Menus says Select map--- No Maps Found. Checked TT7Navigator.msr fixed that with your ammendment to step 12.1 still no map found.

I'm not getting any out of memory now. Just need the program to see the map.
Maybe the problem is as you say, need Planned Route in my files.

Can you post a planned route that I can insert in to say mapSettings.cfg if that's where it goes.

You can configure the language in TTN7BOTT.EXE as well ,I think and the plan a route and exit. I don't have the mapfolder anymore as I now use a GO730.

Downunder35m could you just clarify those steps in your Tutorial please.

Step 3 is install content of 'Navigator" ok.
    Step 4 is install maps V830.2290 - Australia830.2290 ok
Step 5 Put SD card into device and run "TTN7BOT.EXE" ok

Then do Steps 4.1 - 4.8 THEN go to Step 5 etc.
Steps seem to be out of order, should I do steps 4.1 -4.8 after step 4?
Then run Step 5 ie. Put SD card into device and run "TTN7BOT.EXE"

    You're the first to notice
I thought I get away with it...
I meesed up with the numbers ,but the order is right if you follow it from top to bottom.
    The numbers should be 5.1 ,5.2 --- and then 6, 7 ...
But I could not not edit it anymore by the time I noticed that
So just follow from top to bottom and you're on the right way.

Thanks for clearing that up, I did do that way anyhow.
Just redid everything and get out of memory after select language, voice and map.

It has to be something small that's stuffing things up, I will continue :-)

I reformated my SD card reinstalled all the files including MioPocket as I can't Run "TTN7BOT.EXE" on my Destinator as is. When I ran TTN7BOT.EXE I get menu up asking to select Australia map then click ok. I did that and exited.
After doing the next steps re key gen and running TTN7BOT.EXE I can get Dutch menus up and select English Uk but still get Tom Tom in Dutch.

Every time I redo this installation I get something differentat one point I had TomTom up and appeared to be ok but no map and message said I could get one free map etc.

I have done this installation about 10 times now all with different results.

So maybe someone who has done the install successfully might be good enough to upload the full installtion from their SD card.
I have to get a life.

I decided to copy the 7910CE42 - TomTom navigator.exe and data.chk files to the TT7.WCE.4.2 folder and run the key Gen as per instructions then TT7Bot.exe. I now get TomTom Setup menus up asking Voice, right/left handed etc then Select map. Then Message appears with "Activation failed Sorry, this is not the correct activation code for the product 'Australia'......Continue

How do I activate the code for the map?
I'm not getting out of memory message any more.

The activation is the same as mentioned in the tutorial.
Make sure you got the right device id and the right meta for the map.

My Device ID is the same every time and there is only one meta file in the Map Folder and that is Australia-40.meta so no problems there.

Just one mute point, step11. says to download Script.rar and extract it to "TT7.WCE.4.2" folder. I extracted the Script rar to my HDD then copied the files to "TT7.WCE.4.2" folder. If I extracted it straight into the "TT7.WCE.4.2" I would have a folder called Script containing the files. What is correct as it would make a difference to the Path to the files.

I'm not a 100% sure about the script but I think the folder has do be there too.
So the files would end up in "TT7.WCE.4.2\script".

Actually the script files can go anywhere. As the purpose is to copy the map config file before running TomTom & then copy it back again after exiting TomTom. The required paths are hard coded into the TT7Navigator.mscr file therefore no fixed placement is required.

    Cheers, Ian

I am losing count on how many times I've done this setup, I'm convinced it will run on my Destinator as i've had it up with map etc but later got out of memory.
    Can run Dutch version ok.
I copied the 7910CE42 - TomTom navigator.exe and data.chk files to the TT7.WCE.4.2 folder once more, and ran the key Gen as per instructions then TTN7Bot.exe. So that method of activating the Map does not work for the 7910CE42 files.

How do I activate the code for the map?

Jards88 if you have a working copy on your SD card would you be kind enough to upload it for me please. I don't know what I can offer you in return.

You can try these tools to activate the map-mayby they work better for yu,just make sure to use the right meta.txt.

Thanks Downunder35m, I have used Easytool but that proggy looks for file TTGO.BIF. I used Easy Activator and that was easy to use and I used the correct meta file. Problem is after generating and installing the Australia_40.meta.dct file and running TomTom I get the Activation Failed message.

Btw step 9 says after making folder mapsettings, to copy the mapsettings.cfg file from the TT7.WCE.4.2 folder well there is no mapsettings.cfg file there the only one available is in the Map Folder. Just thought I would let you know.
