    Thanks Downunder35m.
I managed to have 840_2561 worked on my Digitalk Smart Navi -I400B. I have fewer questions:
How to adjust time/date in tt?
Can this version speak street name?
What is latest version of Tomtom for this type of device?
Can 840-2562 work on this type of device?
Can I do step #15 straight away instead of step #1? ( MY tries were negative by replacing those 3 files)

    PocketPC device
    App version 7.910 (9185)

Date and Time can only be adjusted in Windows.
The 2562 map won't work and spoken streetnames need a computervoice ,so that won't work either.
The 7.9 is the lates version for your device.
You have to follow the steps otherwise you will always get an out-of-memory-error.

Question, are these tomtom maps running from the SD card? I'm looking for a non-destructive alternative for a friend whose device is a Logic Gear SL350D and running maps from 2007. She needs a new battery so I wont be doing anything just yet, seems the only place you can buy the batt is at Logic Gear itself.

Try Ebay first and if no luck get the battery out and check for the type/serial number or the part number.
It is quite easy to get a replacemant as most modern batteries are used in several different devices.
You can even go to one of these weekend markets and check with these repair guys.
Even if the battery they offer has a different connector (but the rest is identical) they can cut off the cable on the old battery and put it on the new one.
I got a new battery for a phone (landline) which I bought in Europe for under 20 bucks - Panasonic Australia gave me the address for a certified dealer that could get the battery ,he wnted 110 bucks!
And gues what ? The type and part number from the market was the same as for the original and it worked for over 3 years (I dropped it into the full kitchen sink and killed the phone by accident).

Okay, How about this. Is it possible to get tomtom 7.450 to work on my device without the use of the TTN7BOT.EXE.

Thanks Downunder35m for all your info in this thread!

I have a and have managed at this stage to run TT v7450 and Aus maps 840.2561

It runs fine for a while, allows me to use all the functions and navigate, then quits with an "out of memory" error. Has anyone seen this error before, and know how to fix it?

    Thanks for your help.

You could check the power saving settings of your Windows and disable all functions.
If that works you can use a script to disable the settings with the start of Tomtom.
They will return to normal at each start of your device.

i cant seem to unlock the map, i run ttn7bot.exe it loads finds the map, but when i click on it everytime it looks fo iexplorer after i press the "voucher" button and shuts down.

i copied the DID from the .bif file. put the .meta in the "insert_meta_from_Map_here" folder ran it,pressed 1 and 1 again,it created a .dct file in the directory, but still cant unlock it,when i load ttn7bot.exe

oh i also used Keygen26.11 and that too created a .dct file, but same outcome.

    any ideas?

    using an unlocked shinco,
got destinator, igo8 and ndrive working.

Where did you do the activating of the map?
On the PC or your device?
The .dct file has to be in your mapfolder!
If still no luck try option 2 and than 1 in the keygen.

    I'm having some trouble with a AW-55F.

Has chinese Windows CE 5.0 and 7450. Runs 720 maps, but when I put in 815 maps, it says the device ID is invalid when I use the RunMeforDCTcmd (option 2, then option 1). However, the same 815 maps are recognised by for a AW-39 bought from the same place which is also Windows CE 5.0 and 7450.

Albert's tool generates a dct file for my AW-55F, but it isn't accepted when I put the SD card into the GPS.

Put in 840 2561 maps and again it says invalid file when using Albert's tool.

Tried updating the navcore to 7910 but when I do, the 720 maps are invalid (fair enough). When I choose the 840 map, it takes me back to the app launcher screen and says invalid memory. Tried with all 3 different versions of the file (black, blue, black blue) and got the same result.

    Any ideas?

When using Easy Activator make sure to put the device ID in it without the space in the middle!!
To update to the latetes TT version includes a complete new installation ,it won't work as an update.
