Ah...you're right...I was looking at 2562 which is PNA only...2561 should work on PDA.

Hey that was what it was. THe new map already had a tonne of poi's selected to show. I deselected all but 4 or 5 and now it's fine. Nice work again mate.

What do you mean by that?
Can you not start it or is your whole Tomtom program gone?

Just means it crashes to the WM5 desktop. ie just gone!!

Means I have to manually restart the app... wait for GPS to lock etc etc. Its a pain. Just wondering if there are any tweaks or fixes that can solve this.

Default how to set the time?????????????

I am new to Tom Tom - this is my first pass - so forgive any stupid questions.

    BUT

I have installed TT 7.910.9185 + current map on my Chinese 2 din sat nav and it seems to work perfectly except I can't fathom how to set the time - it reads real time + 6 hours????

I'm sure that there must be some simple solution???

Timezone settings are in Windows ,not in the Tomtom software
But I think TT is outdated if you need something modern with all the latest feature.
Maybe you want to check hollowman's threads for IGO and Co.

    Thanks Downunder35m,

I didn't intend to breach any protocol (by posting on the other forum either I didn't realize the interconnection was quite what it is) - but as I said it is only that I'm new to this and never even seen TT going b4 today!

I have the november Igo going as my principal road program, kust wanted to see what all of the fuss was about (most of my mates have TT and I was just being inquisitive)

Anyway back to my original question - OK I understand that the time is derived from windows - how then do I set windows? (on my 2 din windows is in english BUT it is sooo very small a resolution that I can't work with it??

Is there an easy way?? If not it doesn't matter.

    Thanks again for your time

    Mike

That is one of the reasons why started to think TT is outdated for modern devices and maps.
The new GPS stereos where completely unkown at the time Tomtom made the last Windows version.
    Same for most handheld devices.
Most importantly however is the fact the the interface and software are getting old.
IGO and the other packages (hollowman know more ) are more modern with more features and easier to install.

You can start with mortscript to change the settings in the registry (they change back to the old settings at every start) but in my opinion it is not worth it.

And you can post in whatever forum you like
I just like to make some fun every now and than and thought you could check here before I write everything twice

So either way have not checked them or you have a problem with your browser.
The links in post 61 work fine.
Maybe you should read all posts of a thread in case something has changed
