Yes, i did. Complete no show.
Though i have never been able to get my xl30 to play any jukebox sound (mp3 etc), so maybe it may work for others.

SDK registry folder? - many apps call to paste it to the root, but if it its already there what happens? Will they just merge?

Files in the SDKRegistry folder will not merge ,but replaced /added.
For the MP3 and jukebox : look for the files "mp3d and mplayer" in your "bin" folder.
With these two files you will get MP3 and jukbox support.

Oh..right, Thanks! Can i assume the jukebox would work on its own without the need for mplayer? would i just drag the 'mp3d' file to the root (drive, card etc) to play an mp3 with jukebox?
Is there a preferred 'free' media player for the tomtom one/xl i wonder?

The file usually is in the folder "outsourcedxxxx\bin" - putting it in the root won't work.
If you don't have an "outsourcedxxx" folder (where xxxx stand for your Navcore version) you might need to download the se ttsystem for your device.
The jukebox should work an re-appear with the mp3d file.

HUGE thanks to DU for the amazing work you do here in this forum.

I've updated my Go730 back in I think May, and again just now.
However this time, when I start up TT.Home I get this message

    ================================================== ===

I have patched the maps and the device boots happily.

This is the info from InfoTool (after updating today)
    =========================================
    P N A :TomTom GO 730 Australia
    DeviceName:TomTom GO 730
    BootLoaderVersion:55256
    Serialno.:**************
    DeviceUniqueID:***********
    NavCore:9004.1804
    Map Version No:840.2562
    =========================================

I used EasyActivator to patch TTH, so I can use OMG, which I find handy to have to send Google Maps destinations directly from my PC to my Go730 unit.
The OMG thingy works fine in TTH.
I can (seem to) get updates from TTH for MapShare.
I don't think QuickFix is updating though.
Nor can I add any COMPUTER voices. When I installed the Navcor 9001.1804 and booted (after patching maps) it said NO COMPUTER VOICES INSTALLED... and now TTH won't offer me any to download manually.

    Any ideas... ? (thanks)

Ok ,just to clear things up for me :
What Navcore and emulation are you using exactly?

Using the 9.004 link from this site, running as is (just added the ttsystem and outsourced) notepad says x50 emulation on first boot. (not using cycle)
Funny, if i remove the 'mp3d' from the root bin and place it in the outsourced folder bin, i lose the jukebox icon. but i guess thats not important coz i get the icon anyway to start with.

@lochness : you should remove the device ID and serial number from your posting
If you use a SE version put a version.txt in the root of your device with the latest (official) Navcore version number in it - see switchfiles for dummies if you need more info.

@gmaust : I use the the 9.004Extra (not TTUSER's se version) and I have no problem with MP3.
If you have a working backup use it and check if the MP3 functions are really working ,if so overwrite it with the 9,004 and try again.

The extra version I posted here is the only one you will find on the net
It is posted in some other forums as well ,but always with my name ...
It should not make a difference though -the base is the same like TTUSERS SE version.
But feel free to try and if it works better for you I might even continiue making these Extra versions

Thanks , found a 9.004 extra version (no config folder? not req with the 'extra' version?)
It all work very well, except when i change model interface from the menu, the old icons and colors are retained, no matter what i choose - x20, x40 , x50.
Though its seems that at least some of the specific model features are activated. Any idea anyone?
With all of the 'extra' feauture i would love to able to make this work and highly recommend other users who have not tried the 'extra' to have look at it.

Also no Mp3 folder, just a TTMplayer folder - is this where you would put your content?

    Thanks all.

All menu activated mode changes should work fine.
I use it myself in x40 and x50 mode.
What is your bootloader version and device model (please include the TT model no from the sticker on the bottom ,e.g.:4CH.000.002).

That sounds ok for me ,there should be no problem with the Navcore.
Only thing I could think of is that the One is not fully compatible ,but I don't know that for sure.
If you add a "mp3" folder and put some files n there you should be able to get some music.
I will try to find some more info on the emulation.

The only thing i can think of is a Loq issue. I came accross a post where a guy reported similar issues with old colours etc - traced the prob to the Loq.

Which is curious, coz when i download Nav's from this site i always have a problem with the voice and Loq - not all will work (the celeb list), but when i used the impart download 8.417 all voices work with Loq. Gonna have play & see if this could resolve it.
(Wouldn't mind betting that this all related back to why i cant get mp3 going as well.)

Tried 9.024 extra - Perfect! (almost) wont play some voices or any pc voice until i add vocaliser (not sure if ur supposed to do this in addition to loq)
With vocaliser i get the PC voice and some celeb voices but not all.
The 8.147 ttuser i tried gave me all celeb and pc voise with only loq installed.
Any ideas what ineed to do to get the voice's - coz i know they can work.
Still have'nt got to the mp3 issue yet, one might fix the other.

BTW. what does the tomtom tool acomplish - i used it and it restarted in like a 'dos mode', didnt play with it, (had a time getting out of it but) - kept restarting in that mode.

Don't woory about TT Tool and BT console -only for Linux-Pro's.
The 9.024 Extra is for devices with 64MB Ram and big screen.
If it is not working properly on oyur device than you are far better of using a version 8 Navcore like the 8.413,8.417ot the 8.412.
If none of the tested Navcores gives you MP3 than you can only try a SE version (no my Extra's) and put FMON into the setconfig.txt - maybe that can help.
If not you have to live without it.
By the way : ALDI sell a nice MP3 player with FM transmitter next week

Oh darn it! no Aldi in Tas. (thats just random isn't it? i cant interface any other device with my tomtom, AFAIK.)
My machine is a bit of an enigma it seems, coz ur 9.024 in x50 works better than any other tried - very fast, with all the features. TTMplayer works for mp3 etc. Can live without the jukebox. Just annoying i cant play all voice's, as i say which worked on 8.147, but i would not trade them for this 9.024.

You put the DU in Dude!
    Thanks again for your efforts.

PS. can i add a config to the extra version ie. nofixdel etc.
