Default Lost internet connection - Why ??

    Hi All,

My daughters PC last night lost internet access and I can'y figure out why?
It is connected by a wireless adapter to my router and signal strength is perfect. I have reset everything back to default as well as stopped the firewall and anti virus but still no go? I have scanned the system for bugs and nothing found. Other than this issue the Pc is working fine.

    Any thoughts please ??

make sure the Ip address of the machine on the network is not replacing the Ip address for the web.

Using a cmd prompt try releasing the ip address and then renewing again to see if it is assigning ip address as Wood stock said. Are there any other wireless pc's/laptop's configured with wireless router and are they still working? This would rule out any possible issue with the router itself.
    Cheers.

Thanks for the replies guys, IP's are automatically assigned and have tested the router with the wife's laptop and it connects perfectly. OS is XP.

Have renewed the ip address several times.

In the end I did a system restore back 2 weeks and its now running. Don't know what it was but it all sorted.

    Thanks again
