    I just found this one 5 mins ago
    You can select a text link and right click and GO to URL.
    I use it for rapidshare etc links
    What happens if I press alt + F4?

    Make sure you don't have more than 5 firefox addons/extensions. Tends to make the quick brown fox more like a lazy sloth.

    Also google about:config tweaks, fine tune firefox to run faster than you could ever imagine.
