    Default Industrial Burners?

    Hi guys,

I did some googling and was unable to find industrial grade burners? Would anyone be able to give me a hand.

I have a mate who does a fair bit of audio work and burns ALOT of music as a result.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Evil.

YEap, just got it from a guy on atomic that DVR-215's are the current best choice. That and the latest firmware, can't go wrong.

    Cheers,
    Evil.

    Default Plextor?

Aren't Plextor burners considered to be Industrial grade? They retail for several times more than all the other brands of burner.

is the only place I could find that sells them. They list a number of Plextor burners but no stock. So I guess they have to order them in if you want one.

Not to sure mate, but the guy on atomic that recommended it is well known to the community as an optical media expert.

Pioneer also offers good bang for buck too, $50 pretty good

Thats right, Pioneer offers good bang for buck. Burn quality not as good.
But PLEXTOR offers exellent quality of product and burn quality for its buck. Its abit on the expensive side but offers excellent results.
Blown Humax 5400Z, Strong SRT 4658X, Strong 4663X and DM 518.

I have PX-716A and it has trouble reading/burning Phthalocyanine disks (mitsui, verbatim), and it has progressive got worse.

It had a very easy life; I thought a firmware update would fix it, but apparently not.

Not worth the extra money and the anguish, and never again plextor.

Go for the cheaper burner and change them when better specs are needed.

    Hi all
I have been involved in burning about 200,000 DVD's over the last 2 years all done with pioneer burners and a very low fail rate. Yes I think they are the best bang for your buck.
