thank you
Can anyone tell me if the manual include the el xr8? Cheers.
only diff is ecu & valve sizes, this is stated somewhere in there i think.
and if anyone cares... the ef has a gm inspired coilpack and sequencer
el has dizzy & coil.
au = coilpack
ba - bf = coil on plug
not sure bout fg? anyone here know?
Ea to ed had dizzy and coil.
Then they made the mistake of following Gm on the EF, and then Ford woke up.
I think the latest are coil on plug....like my GTR which was designed in the mid 80's.
Gotts love Aussie auto makers, always a few decades behind in everything yet sell themselves as up to date.

thanx alot i was looking everywhere for this thanxx
My son has just bought an XG, would anyone have a pdf manual to suit or one for the Falcon EA/EB series which would have similar/same motor setup?
Cheers heaps for that.!!!
First post.
Many more to come?
hope it's got all the rear wheel bearing replacement stuff in there.
Thanks again
They are easy to replace the rear wheel bearings on, just grind the holding collar down to the axle without actually damaging the axle itself and whack it with a cold chisel to split it along the grinded line to release it and remove it.
To fit the new one on without a press i usually find i pipe that fits over the axle shaft, turn the whole assembly upside down with the pipe on the ground and just swing the axle into the pipe to force the new locking collar on. Make sure the pipe is a snug fit onto the collar.

This manual is great, just what I have been looking for as I am doing up my old Falcon. Problem was the download speed was so slow that my ISP was timing me out. Anyone else with similiar problems can drop me an email (johnag@fedile.co.za) and I will post the manual on my web site for a special download. I do have one concern in that the manual looks like it has been scanned in and it does not look like the ford workshop manual. Given that most of these manuals are now out of print this may not be a problem. Can someone throw some light as to the origins of the manual.
Thanks
John Agar
