Ea to ed had dizzy and coil.

Then they made the mistake of following Gm on the EF, and then Ford woke up.

I think the latest are coil on plug....like my GTR which was designed in the mid 80's.

Gotts love Aussie auto makers, always a few decades behind in everything yet sell themselves as up to date.

300zx are the exception to Nissans usually easy to work on cars/motors

I know 2 trained Nissan Mechanics that worked in Japan and neither of them will ever work on a 300zx again!

The day i need to change the coils again im going Mitsubishi wasted spark coil pack setup with leads running off the factory igniter.

The Rb engines are a piece of cake for changing coils, just remove the top center cam valley cover and there they are.

My son has just bought an XG, would anyone have a pdf manual to suit or one for the Falcon EA/EB series which would have similar/same motor setup?

The manual posted will do the engine and drive line, they are the same except they used thermo fans, a different coil setup and intake manifold.

They are all I6 engines with the same electronic 4 speed auto so 95% of the manual posted should work on the drive line.

They are easy to replace the rear wheel bearings on, just grind the holding collar down to the axle without actually damaging the axle itself and whack it with a cold chisel to split it along the grinded line to release it and remove it.

To fit the new one on without a press i usually find i pipe that fits over the axle shaft, turn the whole assembly upside down with the pipe on the ground and just swing the axle into the pipe to force the new locking collar on. Make sure the pipe is a snug fit onto the collar.

    Default Mega-upload is mega slow

This manual is great, just what I have been looking for as I am doing up my old Falcon. Problem was the download speed was so slow that my ISP was timing me out. Anyone else with similiar problems can drop me an email (johnag@fedile.co.za) and I will post the manual on my web site for a special download. I do have one concern in that the manual looks like it has been scanned in and it does not look like the ford workshop manual. Given that most of these manuals are now out of print this may not be a problem. Can someone throw some light as to the origins of the manual.

    Thanks

    John Agar
