RAM can be saved by using Outsourced.xxxx. Place the complete
Outsourced.xxxx directory in the root of the TT. Files that exist in
Outsourced.xxxx will run from disk and will not be kept in RAM. Remove
files from Outsourced.xxxx if you want to keep them in RAM.
Your TT can be configured by using a set of configuration files in the
directory 'Config' in the root of the TT device. In Config, you can
create a series of files. Some contain a string, most not. The empty
files are simply switches. If they are present, they are active. The
file setconfig describes the switches, and some of the files that
contain strings with settings.
A set of example files can be found in switchfiles.zip. The configure
files are cycle.txt, model.txt, and version.txt.
cycle.txt contains one string, setting the hardware model that should
be emulated. Valid values are: ori x20 x30. Each reset the TT will
switch emulation between cycle.txt and model.txt. Useful for testing and
debugging.
model.txt contains one string, setting the hardware model that should
be emulated. Valid values are: ori x20 x30
The file ttgo.bif has the official settings for your TT device. This may
be not the actial situation. If you run unother navcore than the
official one you can can set the correct one. This information is used
by TT Home for updating/upgrading.
In the folder "Config", create a file 'version.txt'. version.txt should contain 2
lines, one for the navcore version, and one for the build:
A:navcore
B:build
Some old navcore-versions for the different TT models are:
You use the numbers from the Navcore you downloaded ,e.g.: 8417.1255
Where the 8417 would be for the first valu and 1255 for the second
A:8417
B:1255
TomTom GO, GO x00, GO x10, ONE 1st Edition, ONE 2nd Edition
A:7903
B:9183
Rider
A:7901
B:9181
ONE 30-Series, XL 30-Series, ONE XL, ONE 3rd Edition
A:8010
B:9369
x20,x30,630
A:8300
B:9732
End of version.txt.
setconfig.txt recently changed. In older versions
setconfig.txt was a list of filenames that set the behaviour of the TT.
Each file with the names listed control one setting one value or switch.
Most files were empty, but some could contain a value, as described above.
If the file was present, the 'variable' is set. Valid filenames are:
TTSoff = switch TTS off
FMon = FMTransmitter on (for x10 only)
FMoff = switch FM off, enabled by by x30 emulation (cycle.txt).
Useful for TT without FM, Mp3-Player no longer available
btoff = disable BT. When not needed this saves RAM
bton = if you do not have BT, this enables the Speedcam button in Menu
noqfixdel = when set, qfixfiles will no longer be deleted on reset
delgns = remove old TMC-Data (gns/gnsdata) on start/suspend
delmap = delete currentmap.dat on each boot
cleanflash= delete all personal/temporary data from memory (*.mac etc.)
viewmsg = enable BootHelpmessages
nomsg = disable all BootHelpmessages
runclean = remove all unneeded Files to save RAM (experimental)
rm = remove a few additional Files (also for BT needed) to save
RAM (experimental)
runcheck = check a few "important" Files, view config.txt for result
changedtext.txt = you can change the Text on Status/Info Screen, write
your own text in 'changedtext.txt'
SDid.txt = write for each SD/Memory a other Number inside and you can
for each one different Mainsetting
usesetting= use Settings from SD, not the settings from the internal
memory
In the new situation, config.txt is a configuration file with a set of entries.
If the entry/line/word is present, the switch is 'set'. Switches cannot have
additional parameters.
