What Navcore exactly and what did you use to activate the map?

Ok , the Navcore is already patched ,the map however need activating.
I'm not 100% if the meta code is already included in EA ,you might want to try to use the update function of the keygen or add these lines to the meta.txt :

    ; Australia_835_2419
    61 49 C8 F5 A2 46 15 44 F4 FE CD 04 D3 7E 39 1D Australia-70.meta
    ; Australia_835_2420
    F8 85 4F 45 05 FF 61 B6 6E 54 3E B8 33 B5 7B 53 Australia-69.meta

It is recommended to do a "clean" install - meaning to start with an empty device.
You can make a copy of your ttgo.bif and use it after you copied the files and folders for the Navcore and added the map. (for the EA it is enough to write down your device ID and enter it without spaces).
If your device is constantly rebooting try a hard reset (hold reset for 30sec. ).
You might need to start from scratch to make sure all files are working.

    Red face

I have a Tom Tom One V3. Updated from Australia maps 2419 to 2420.
After the update I noticed that the IQ and Highway guidance is greyed out and inaccesible. Did I overwrite some important file?

Why do you say you updated from the 2419 to the 2420?
    Please check the chart...

It's not really a downgrade ,but the 2420 has no ALG ,IQ routes and so on - the coverage is still the same

    Default POI query

I've installed 8.35.2419 with all the POIs - great work guys.

The POIs include 2 red light camera POIs

Red Light Camera and RedLight Cameras - I'd like to only use one of these obviously but don't know if their content is the same or which is more up to date. Can anyone help.

    Ditto for Cameras

Cameras, Traffic Camera, VariableSpeedCam-AU and Speed Cameras are available - which one to keep??

If you only use one file you will miss some cams
But you can try for yourself by renanming or deleting the oldest files....

Thanks to both of you - I'll see if I can get some time and try to merge the files.

    1) Which files for red light and speed camera are actually updated in TT home?

    2) If I use more than one POI for speed cameras (there are 4 options now) will my device sound multiple warnings - i.e. once for each POI used.

    3) I really want a warning sound when I approach speed cameras in particular (for obvious reasons) but I'm not sure I want to delete 3 of the 4 POIs as DU35m suggested because I'm not sure the latest (newest) file will necessarily be the most up to date - hope you follow my logic.

    thanks

    1. none! - except you have a subscription
    2. Yes ,if they are not on the same coordinate (sometimes you have up to 25m difference)
    3. That is the reason why I keep multiple files on my device (and in the map sets) - so far I have not found one single complete set of cams and it is not possible to "merge" the Tomtom cams with the normal ones - what would be the ideal case.

I don't know if someone has PGPSW or OZPOI cams as a subscription here ,but that would be an option to check...

with respect of item 1, when I connect my unit to the PC and TT Home it asks me if I want to update my camera files, and has gone through some form of update process. To my knowledge I do not have a subscription, or is it that I have activated the free 3 month upgrade when I registered my TT720??

All I can tell you is that you need a subscription for the Tomtom cams - or download them here

I would like to thank downunder for his tutorial and information which I used to create a 835.2419 map on a SD card for my TT730. I now have the original map in ram and the new map on SD.
I started reading and downloading files only yesterday and the only trouble was I had to activate the map using a PC with XP, SP2. Somehow my laptop refused to generate a meta.dct file even though its running XP, SP2 too.
