Do you realise this thread is over 7 years old?

Indovision, on SES7, has no footprint coverage in Australia.

Well, looking at the footprint... a large dish for S-Band in Darwin... maybe.

Satbeams tell you if you are going to get a Foot Print where you live and tell you the dbW and what size of dish you need. I have a 2.3M dish and I get around 14 Different CBand Satellites in Brisbane. Many Many Channels in that 14 or more Sats (I forgot the real amount) All are available via a 2.3M dish and an actuator (Motor) and DISEqC 1.2 and the correct box. My range goes From 91.5 Deg E being Measat 3 to 177 W being NSS9. That a lot of Satellites in between.

loppy, you've been a member of Austech for 6 years and have asked satellite questions previously.... are you saying you've never read the Newbie Satellite section? (that's a great place to learn).

is a good source of info and can display approximately where satellites are in relation to your location.

Just because you might see a footprint that covers Melbourne, doesn't automatically mean you can receive those satellites/channels.

Many carry encrypted services that require proprietary decoders and/or subscriptions. Eg: Foxtel, VAST, etc.

The two main bands used for direct to home satellite TV are C-Band (usually large mesh dishes..sometimes solid) and Ku-Band, typically smaller solid dishes, such as what Foxtel subscribers have, etc.

Please post what you are hoping to receive in the Newbie Satellite section and detail what equipment you have at present (if any).
