Unhappy BOSCH 880 new battery power plug flashing HELP!

    Hi everyone!

I recently got our apartment back after 5 years of leasing.

The BOSCH alarm in the apartment looks like Bosch 880 and the panel was non responsive.

I have changed to a new back up battery, connected it. The panel lights up and responsive, but now the power supply power plug icon keeps flashing and it beeps every minute or so.

Anyone knows what I am missing or what's wrong?

It will still arm or disarm, but I think it is running on whatever the charge it had on the new battery.

    Many Thanks!

Check that the alarm plug pack is connected to a working power point and switched on. Hopefully this is next to the alarm box. Otherwise you will need to find it, possibly in roof space, but as this is an apartment you may not have a roof space.
Or the alarm plug pack has died and needs replacing.
Date and time will need to be set, refer to user manual. Might also be a fault icon showing, refer to user manual for how to check faults.

I tested the power port has power and on. Maybe it’s the plug is faulty. Any idea where to buy replacement? Would Jaycar have the plug? I will try run diagnosis next time I’m there. Thanks Secure!

Do you have a multimeter? Measure the voltage coming out of the plug pack on the alarm panel board. Should be around 18-19volts AC. If no voltage replace plug pack.
The Bosch plug pack is 18v AC where most alarms a 16v AC.
    Something like this

Ordered new transformer. Plug and worked. No more flashing. Thanks Secure! Any chance you know where I can find a menu for Bosch 880? Want to change password and find out about the STAY zones again, so we can arm it at night.
