hey for some reason my foxtel is stuttering like crazy every few seconds making it unwatchable. Is there some way of making it run smoothly or is it just due to the cardserver? I was told having a good prio file would fix that..

Not sure if im writing the right questions.. but im sure you all understand

Could be one or a combination of these things:

- your internet speed/latency
- server's internet speed/latency
- internet congestion
- how many people your server is hosting
- the image your dreambox is running (i've found that pli old framebuffer is best)
- how many clients the server has emm's enabled for

Prio files won't do anything. They are only used when there is multiple encryptions on the same channel (eg: ird2 and nds) to specify which one to use first.

local? in what way? the same state

or does it have effect if the server is interstate?

local - is like in the same house on the same network
not local - like over the internet

once its not local there are all sorts of things outside your control like keegs pointed out above

stop the full bore torrent downloads while your watching foxtel. or ask the server connect to limit their torrent downloads . lol

Ive been having some issues with mine also,mines is local.
for some reason the dm500s server keeps locking up,the client in the house get pixelation and sometimes the picture just freezes,
but on the 500s the picture is normal,
i think mine has something to do with CCCam locking up or overloaded,i cant telnet,ftp or webint ,i have to reboot the server to kick start it again.

Waiting on a 7020 to arrive to see if it fixes it,
as my relook, for the life of me cant get it read my bluey(using jade) only got it as a client.

I had the same symptoms last night and thought it might have been CCCam, but i had it set to NTSC in the setup. Changed it to PAL and worked like a charm. The funny thing was it didn't seem to do it on every channel.

Relook & Pli = there is the problem as Jade is designed for Dm boxes only and the people doing the hack to the relook loader have made a small mistake?

Local= You have legit Fax card in your Dreambox at home
Not Local= Someone else own the card and sharing with you from hops(1,2,3..)

There is no problem with a relook & PLI jade reading a bluey. My 200s is serving without problems to my home network - DM600, DG400, & 3 * DG200.

not quite sure what i did wrong,but i think i left out a couple lines on my 400s when i had another look at my ccam.cfg yesterday,
didnt matter because my 7020 arrived yesterday and its doing a good job serving my other boxes.
