nothing an opt out (tick the box) would probably have with the 1st bit of Spam.
Part of the way things are done today. Doesn't impress many of us, but we learn to live with and try to give the buggers as little 'real' information as we can.

If you read the fine print that appears with "press the red button now to learn more" for a few seconds it has something to the effect you agree to opt into receiving marketing. I suspect this is a pay per lead arrangement between Foxtel and the marketers. I am on the do not call list and have an un listed phone number and there is no way I will push the button but I wonder how many fall for that one.
my foxtel units are not connected to a phone line. Easily fixed that one.

I cant see how they can do it for existing customers. If you are a new customer and you sign up and are given an opt out option fair enough. But I cant see how they can expect existing customers to be forced to opt in without agreeing to it.
Unless there is an opt out step at the download screen ?
Not saying Foxtel are better or worse than similer companys but these are there terms.
