    Default 7020 showing ERROR UC0

Came home to the above error

From what I've found it looks like a tuner problem.

    Can anyone confirm ?

If so, is it just a matter of cutting the legs off where its soldered onto the vertical board and then replacing it ?

Is there anything else to look out for/check ?

    Thanks,

    Jim.....

    German says..
    UCO ERROR = Tuner Kapot.
    it means Tuner gone...
If it is working ,do not touch it

There are two ways out: you can change the tuner unit or change only the chip STVO299
Russian guy says solder this chip out...

If it is working ,do not touch it

I did a 7020 a while back and i am sure the LNBP21 IC was what was causing most of the tuner grief

The LNBP21 is just a voltage reg but it cause lots of different trouble, if I remember right it should be located on the M/B under the hard drive.

I found this on the net

To the left of the seated C60003 22UF 25V

It was a bout 2 years ago i did the repair lol

worth a test with the multimeter
