Been a while - Does DM500 + Legit Aus*ar Card posible again??

Hi All, It's been a while, had the DM500's in storage and thought i would have a play again. Is it posible to use the dm500 with a legit austar card again??

Last i heard is they married the cards to the boxes.

Selecttv does not have this bullshit third party box lockout issue.
Did I tell you how much I hate Austar for stopping legit subscribers from running their own boxes?

Have any of you actually tried?

I'm running a legit Foxtel card on a 500, no problems..

And they marry the box to the card, not the card to the box.. the card will work in anything that can decode it.

Austar and Foxtel do not use identical encryption systems and therefore each providor issues smartcards appropriate for their particular system. These cards are not interchangeable. [Austar use Irdeto while Foxtel use NDS encryption. The stream is dual-encrypted to accomodate this].
