    hey tmsani

Pull the top off your supply and you will see 2 capacitors up one end - they normally shit themselves and require replacing, so just replace the 2 capacitors - i think 10uf 16V (dont quote me) and plug it back in. Alot cheaper than a new power supply (and quicker)

and if that doesnt work then give fernbay, Cwispy, cmoore (or someone like them) a pm and go from there

What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

Ive got 12volt 1.5A plug pack versions available for $10 plus $6 delivery Aust wide if anyone want any. They were an alternative we were using when we couldnt get any original Dream PS a few years back. Dream Multimedia approved them. They are the Access Powermaster brand. PM me for details.

    New is cheap enuf.
I have them on hand for $10 pickup usualy. They are $20 pickup at jaycar.
Post as a rule one a psu would be $5 for a red bag, or $10 for a yellow overnight bag ( sometimes longer than overnight - depends on post code)

If buying one with multiple plugs, ensure it's positioned for positive tip.

Please do not attempt repair unless you know exactly what you're doing! It's not like fixing a torch or a remote control. Switchmodes are dangerous - there's a of electric shock or fire. What you don't know can kill you.

Pull the top off your supply and you will see 2 capacitors up one end ... just replace the 2 capacitors - ... and plug it back in. Alot cheaper than a new power supply (and quicker)
Even experienced technicians make mistakes, which is why safety precautions are so important. Please, everyone, when it comes to switchmodes, please don't give repair directions without any mention of !

Hi tmsani, last time I was up at Sciteq Wangara they had a number of 12v power supplies that would do the job. From memory fairly cheap as well
