Nice one, thanks..
Any idea whats different ?
Hope my itunes accepts this a bit easier! (and it did, thank you - but crashed back to springboard immediately )
Differences are reported to be acceptance of abbreviations for street, avenue etc from contact list so there should be less inability to recognise addresses, and a better navigation overall, faster and more responsive. Its not much, IMO. I would have called it update 1.01

Yea Ive not had any prob with the 1st, works great, but hell, an update is an update
Then again no it isnt didnt work for me, tomtom screen pops up for second then right back to the springboard
oh well, back to 1.0
Crashing out from the TomTom logo here as well, back to 1.0...
So... ummm... anyone had any luck getting this to work?
Nope, crashes every time on my 3.0 iphone 3g
workin fine here,
3gs 3.1.2 just did a quick route and working ok have not taken it on the road but not crashing......been looking for gps signal inside for about 5 min......
good luck....
OH!!! I wonder if it requires 3.1* as opposed to 3.0* That would explain the discrepancy. I have not yet updated past 3.0.1
I've tried to get this going a couple of time now on my 3G phone.
The first time with ver 3.1.1 & with ver 3.1.2.
Both times it doesn't load, all I see is the TomTom loading screen & then it pops back to the springe board screen.
Hi millencolin you use itunes to load this?
Sighh. OK, thats not the issue then. I've got 1 going with this map and its all good. I don't have real issues with accuracy and navigating to contacts is a bit of a furphy for me, I know where my lot live
My only wish at the moment for the tomtom app is a) audible warning for school zones (I discovered tonight that school zones are lumped in with colleges and universities... never occurred to me before) and b) AUDIBLE overspeed warnings on all roads. Whats the point having a tiny red background when you are s'posed to be watching the road! Madness on tomtom's part.
thanks works a treat
I've read that alot of people have issues with 1.1 - 1.0 is more stable
I've got 1.0 and it works fine
some people its work 1.1 cracked version with blackra1n jb only
Could be right, ausmap. I've upgrsded iphone to 3.1.2 firmware, JBd with Pwnagetool. This tomtom version still crashes.
some people jb with blackra1n no crash
spam said : "Found a way to fix the crashing problem:
You need to install ldid tool on your iPhone via terminal. Below is the command:
apt-get install ldid
After finished with the installation you need to run the command below :
ldid -S /private/var/mobile/Applications/05D926FE-6DCA-43D1-A671-C3B90D608793/Australia.app/Australia
* Don't forget to replace the command with your file path. Basically you need to replace this line with your own path "05D926FE-6DCA-43D1-A671-C3B90D608793/Australia.app/Australia" "

my 3gs is jb with blackrain running current os and firmware and no issues
it could be other apps conflicting with it too... iphone apps tend to clash with each other for some reason... its stupid i know, but i've read reports that people uninstall certain things an then other things start to work... apple are following microsofts footsteps, if its that important that you need to get 1.1 working here is what you can do.
option 1: know its a big hassle, but you could try formatting/restoring your iphone (after backing it up) doing JB again, then installing tomtom 1.1 again with your JB Iphone at default settings and not installing anything else etc... that will eliminate/prove my theory
option 2: refer to option 1
the reason why i come up with this theory is because some people have it working and some don't with the same iphone + Firmware. all iphones are the same, they come from the same factory, which leads me to beleive that it must be software conflict related.... hay i could be wrong, but its food for thought !
