A gutter mount is what you need. You push back tiles closest to the gutter and insert it in the roof cavity. It has adjustable arms that attach to the timber work.

Hard to explain , but they are easy to install

As Sanity said, gutter mount is the way to go. On the video they cut out some wood but the two that I did, that was not necessary...one I had to bend over a bit of gutter tin and the other didn't need any cutting...as long as the main pole ends up vertical and the tiles fit back down properly.

Rough as guts cutting that facial board down at an angle like that, you only need to take the front edge off to clear the mount.

Using some expansion joint filler as flashing is pretty piss poor too, use some proper flashing and shape it to keep the water out.

Also put some insulation tape to hold the coax down the pole, the job looks half done without it.

very well done but when I did one, I put one screw only in the mount side plate then using a post level on the mast to keep it correctly vertical, drove in the screws.
The last screw was in the bar same as the video.
The roof we did didnt need any cutting either and so far 5 years later its still there.
I dont like the cable unsecured like that one was so a few cable ties dont hurt.

I would be curious to see how a mid roof mount is installed and waterproofed.

Agreed...Ive never need to cut any part of the roof either, they simply tuck under the tiles.

Depends on the fascia and how the last tile ends, at worst all that's needed is a small section taken out of the front to clear the curved bit in the mount.

But butchering a whole section out and leaning the cut into the house is a good way to get water into your eaves in heavy downpours.
