    Default Hex Problems

    Hi

I have been trying to get a Dreambox DM500C working with a Foxtel card (orange)
I have found I need to generate a hex Key and put it into the CCcam.cfg file. I found many numbers under the original box (IQ) there where ones on a sticker that was 09025717923 or something like that so I dropped the 0 off the front. Then generated hex code. Came up like this XXXXXXXXX now there was a nether 16 digit one that started with KAAAAZN851 and so on. Tried that with the online calculator and got I code in the format of XX XX XX XX. Basically I have entered all the possible codes under the box and tried the hex values in many combinations and it doesn’t seem to work. I am entering it in the format of BOXKEY: /dev/sci0 XX XX XX XX

Has anyone had the same sort of problem or know what number to use to generate the hex?

I've never neded to generate a boxkey but i think you drop the first and last digit, then use the calculator. Glad to be corrected if I am wrong.

yeah from memory you have to drop first and last number and then hex it in the calculator. ensure you are using the internal slot of your dreambox if you are using the boxkey line you stated
