    Default desperate for a solution

    hi
    i have being trying hard for over a month to get my gamma plus card working with my dreambox.can someone suggest to me the right settings so the box sees the gamma.the system i have is the following:

    dreambox:600pvr genuine
    external reader/programmer:cas3 interface plus/phoenix
    image on greambox:gemini with cccam 2.1.2 and newcs1.67


    any help (how to set up cccam and/or newcs) will be greatly appreciated,having to repeat here that your forum is one of the most knowledgeable and one of the fastest regarding response.if you think i should change the cccam and newcs versions pls tell me so with the required changes for the software of the suggested versions

    just a question to kick this along ..

    has anyone got an external reader working on a 600 ??
    I have only used internal .. and I never had a gamma ..
    Dm500, DM5620, DM600 x2, DM7000 x1, DM7020, DM7025, DM800, VU+DUO and a partridge in a pear tree

    What provider are you trying to get the gamma to decrypt? If it's pay tv on Optus C1/D3, you will be out of luck as gamma cards stopped working for that sat quiet some time ago.......

    Gammas are still working in Oz.

    It's just that nobody has any working 4.1 details, or if they do they aren't saying.

    Im led to believe the DM600 Com port is wired incorrectly and will never support an external Reader.

    Yes that's correct, no go for the DM600. You can use a DM500 and DM7020 with an external phoenix card reader.

    gamma is definitly woking in oz... i saw one with opentel receiver...
    also on a dm800 cccam2.1.2 but im not sure how its working on dreambox.
