    Default Mount problems

    I am trying to mount a disk on a computer to my DM500C using PLI JADE

    The config i am using is below

    Mount type = nfs
    mount = /media/hdd
    server = 192.168.0.8
    device = /movie
    auto = 0
    Status = X

    every time i try to mount it freezes for while and then comes back and says mount failed.

    i have tried this on the vista machine and it does the same as it does when i try on Server 2003. the username and password are correct.

    any ideas?

    i have it set to rw and i have removed intr out of the selection. and i dont want it auto mounting because it holds up the box on reboot.

    ok you say on a computer - is it windows or linux
    because 99% of windows do not have nfs
    if it is windows try CIFS
    then I guess that /movies is the share on your PC
    you don't need the / in front of movies for a PC share

    ps if it exists and works - it wont hold up box on boot
    Dm500, DM5620, DM600 x2, DM7000 x1, DM7020, DM7025, DM800, VU+DUO and a partridge in a pear tree
    All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing

    Default

    1: Create a folder called movie on the hard drive
    2: set the folder for share in its properties

    Mount type = CIFS
    mount = /media/hdd
    server = 192.168.0.8
    device = C ( or what ever the drive letter is that you are sharing - mounting )
    mount options = RW
    username and password would be that of the account you have logged in with
    auto = 0
    Status = X
