What sort of STB are you using?
Hi Guys,
I have been playing with sat's for a several years, and can not figure why I am having difficulty with getting this to work.
I have an 80cm dish pointed at C1/D3. I can receive some frequencies fine, such as 12305H and 11970H and 12094V.
However, I can not get 12558H and a few others.
I have tried adjusting the LNB skew, checked the settings in the STB, checked alignment of dish. Any other suggestions I could try? I have even tried another LNB I had lying around. Bother were universals.
Thanks

TP 12558H is slightly weaker signal my way than the the other 3 but only by 3%
79% vs 82% Quality but that should not make much difference ??.
Sorry I cant help.
Cheers Marty
I have tried using a Foxtel STB and a ST Gold 4000IR
What is odd is that while I get great signal strength, I am only getting 35 to 50% quality on those transponders I receive, while I get nothing from those that won't.
It just has me completely stumped
That sounds like your lnb skew is wrong! Try very very slight adjustments only.
would changing the LNB to a 10.700 which is now in use for the paychannels make any difference ?
If the Universals were good enough, why dont either Fox or Austar use them even now as it would have saved them time and money changing all the 11.300's over.
G'Day Cobber,
Let's start at the beginning.
You say you are using a Universal LNB.
These need to be set up in the box under Universal 0950 / 10600 / (11700). Some boxes require that to say where to change Local Oscillator.
If that is set correctly, you need to put the 22KHz either ON or AUTO.
That is what switches the LNB between the two band segments.
Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".
